I am warm and welcoming and have created a safe space relationally in terms of the safe space between us, for you to breathe and be open to the possibilities for growth and healing. I offer you an opportunity to slow down, to breathe, to exhale and to explore your own resources so that you may feel nurtured to grow.
My life, as well as my life's work, is grounded in my spirituality, an intentional journey that I began cultivating in my late teens. I have the ability to feel, and effectively manage the energy between the two of us as client and counselor, between the two of you as a couple, and that which is in the room so that you may benefit fully.
I live in Silver Spring, MD with my husband Dan and our two cats, Laila and Mango.
Professional Background
I fell in love with Imago and became a Certified Imago Therapist in 1994. I was on the Board of Imago Relationships International for 18 years, serving in various leadership roles. I am presently a Pastoral Psychotherapist in the ACPE, Association of Clinical Pastoral Education.
My vision welcomes and holds a world where you learn to
honor differences and safe connection, a world where you learn to
cross the bridge into the other's world through the
process of intentional dialogue:
Listening and mirroring, validating and empathizing.
